Do Your Research
Find out ahead of time who will be at an event. Research them on Google or LinkedIn and know who you want to connect with.
Ask Simple Questions
To get the conversation started, just ask: “may I join you?” or “What business are you in?”.
Ditch the Pitch
Forget the sales pitch. Stay informal and focus on building relationships. People are more apt to do business or give referrals to people who they enjoy, not a salesperson.
Flash a Smile
Don’t forget to smile! You will put others at ease and come across as friendly and approachable.
Take Notes
Make a good connection? Take a moment to jot down a note on their business card for more specific follow-up.
Follow Up
Don’t forget to follow-up! If you have had a great exchange, ask how you can continue the conversation. Follow up through email or social media within 48 hours of the event.

Managing Employees the Easy Way
Before you apply for a new job, you’ll need to create or update your resume. It’s important to be sure your resume is up-to-date, easy to read and organized.
Ensure that everything listed on your resume correlates to the job you are applying to.
Your resume should be either one or two full pages.
Your resume should include at least five (5) keywords from the job description you are applying for.
Your resume should clearly show that you meet at least the minimum qualifications.
Correct verb tense should always be used. If it’s a past job, all verbs should be past tense.
Your resume should show how you have added value and solved problems at every company you list.
There should be absolutely no misspelling or grammatical errors.
You should leave the reader wanting to know more about you and it should include something unique and memorable about you.

1. Keep in Touch with Your Recruiter.
The Fixed Indemnity Medical Plan is a supplement to health Insurance. The Plan offers supplemental coverage for Medical, Dental, Vision, Term Life and Short-Term Disability. It is not a substitute for essential health benefits or minimum essential coverage as defined under the Affordable Care Act.
2. Attend Job Fairs.
Skill enhancement is available to employees at no charge. Increasing your skills can increase your rate of pay. Additionally, by working certain temporary assignments, an employee may be compensated while elevating their skills and gain valuable experience
3. Dress to Impress
Anytime you come into our office, or any other potential employer, you should always appear as professional as possible. This means you should leave your flip flops and tank top at home and opt for a business casual dress code. If you have questions about appropriate dress code, please feel encouraged to contact your recruiter.
4. Utilize Online Job Boards
Be sure to check out our current Job Opportunities, as they are updated daily. We also recommend utilizing other online job boards such as;
LinkedIn, Indeed, Career Builder, Google for Jobs, and ZipRecruiter.
These sites will allow you to upload your resume, view and apply to job opportunities in your area.

Job interviews can be quite intimidating if you’re not prepared. We recommend following these helpful tips to gain more confidence in your interviewing abilities. Stand out from other candidates and learn what you should do before, during and after the interview to increase your chances of a job offer.
Pre-Interview
1. Research and become familiar with the company and person you are interviewing with. You’ll want to come prepared with quality questions to ask the interviewer about the job and company.
2. Turn your cell phone off! If you have to have it on, explain to the interviewer that it will only be answered in case of an emergency.
3. Don’t be late! Give yourself an extra 20 minutres and map out the drive the day before, while being conscious of potential traffic.
